From Railroad Barge to Harbor Icon

Set along the protected waters of Osterville, this location sits at the heart of one of Cape Cod’s most enduring maritime traditions. The legendary Crosby boatyard helped define American wooden boatbuilding, producing thousands of handcrafted vessels and pioneering the iconic Crosby Catboat, a design that became synonymous with New England sailing. For generations, it has been a summer destination where deep-water access and spectacular sunsets continue to draw boaters and visitors alike.

That same spirit connects directly to the original Chart Room in Cataumet. While one was born from a converted working barge and the other from a landscape defined by boatbuilding, both share a common DNA: authentic waterfront spaces shaped by the sea. Today, that legacy carries through in a place built for sharing fresh seafood, a drink in hand, and an unobstructed view of the harbor.
